To celebrate BMW’s 100 Year Anniversary their competitors thanked them in a sincere but competitive way
There has long been rivalry between Mercedes and BMW. They are 2 heavies in the world automative market and certainly the fierce German rivals.
Audi is in there too but decided to stay out of the sword exchange over the last years.

Anyway, back to BMW, Mercedes and Porsche.
In a clever marketing move, Mercedes took out the following advert to celebrate BMW’s 100 Year Anniversary and its actually touching.
Despite the cheeky tagline “Thanks for 100 years of competition. The previous 30 years were somewhat dull” they give pride of place to BMW paying homage to the iconic grill.
Porsche also joined the party with them featuring their hybrid, the Mission E, next to BMW’s i8 and again thanking BMW for the competition, “The future presents us with great challenges.
We face them with sheer driving pleasure. Porsche bows to 100 years of moving automobile history and wholeheartedly congratulates BMW on this jubilee.”
Its great to see that despite the fierce competition with the automotive game, the exchange of competitive advertisement and slandering’esque type publications over the years, the germans still have manners and grace.
Maybe they are just demonstrating heart so that neither blows up a potential emissions scandal… Jokes, that was just VW.
